Jeanne Schlaufman  - DEQ
Please join us on November 15th for the first in a two-part series about BEAs, Due Care, and Vapor Intrusion.  The speaker for the first presentation will be Jeanne Schlaufman, Department of Environmental Quality, Remediation and Redevelopment Division (MDEQ-RRD) SE District Office.  Jeanne will focus on answering some FAQs about Due Care, including what a new owner/operator is required to do after their BEA is submitted, what documentation must be maintained, and what should be submitted to DEQ.  The second presentation in this two-part series, tentatively scheduled for early 2017, will provide an update on how Vapor Intrusion relates to BEAs and Due Care, as well as updates to the Part 201 VI criteria.

Jeanne Schlaufman has been with the MDEQ-RRD for over 20 years, and she has been the RRD’s statewide specialist for BEAs and Due Care since 2002.  Jeanne is a member of the Vapor Intrusion Technical and Program Support (VI TAPS) team, and is currently a member of the Part 201 Criteria Update Team. Jeanne has a BS and BA degree from the University of Michigan and a Certificate in Hazardous Material Management from Wayne State University.
